can anyone help with this, we have a 2004 avensis tourer with built in dvd player and screens in the headrests but unfortunately they have stopped working and the kids are driving me mad asking when they are going to be fixed. I have checked the power to the dvd player and the screens junction box under the seats and the permanent live is ok to all but the switched live(ACC) is dead to both screens and player. Other equipment such as the radio is OK so i am assuming the acc ignition is ok. Does anyone know where the DVD and screens are fed from as i have had the dash and centre console apart tracing the wires and cannot locate where it is fed from or does anyone have a wiring diagram that can help.

the kids would be most pleased if you can help!!

If you cant find the fuses you could do a dirty trick and get a feed from the live and put a switch inbetween and feed it to the ACC point of the DVD player.

but you need to find the fuse...

thanks for the replies, the first thing i tried were the fuses in the boxes inside the car and in the engine compartment, all were ok and just to be sure i have just re-checked them. the second thing i did was on the dvd player in the glove box and this was to link the permanent live to the switched live through a switch, this powered the dvd player up OK but the screens in the head rests did not come on. So when i tested them i found they also had no power from the swithced(ACC) supply. therefore i thought if i could trace the wires and find where the supply comes from i could find the cause of the problem, but having had the dash apart i am still non the wiser. Kids will have to play ispy instead for the moment,ha!

[/quot Hello mate,

i'm not sure this will help but it's a link to a Toyota site showing the installation of the DVD system,

Good luck and regards ... Pete.
