Tapping Noise When When Clutch Pressed Down

Hi

Newbie here with a 56 basic aygo with 18K on the clock which has tonight developed a rather odd tapping noise when I push the clutch peddle right down when at a stand still say at lights etc, nothing when going up through the gears and havent noticed clutch bite getting higher although garage said at MOT in August that clutch has got a high bite?

Am wondering what the noise is and does this mean a whole new clutch? Have had a good trawl through previous posts and can see that there are problems with the aygo and its clutch but am wondering am I still ok to drive it for a couple of days and try and get it into the garage next week or is that it...will I be forking out 100s of £££ for a new clutch just before Xmas?

Any help most appreciated..
