Hello.

I'm gonna to change an oil(engine & gearbox) for my GT4.

Can you tell me what oil should I use (like the brand of an oil)?

Do I need to get the different oil for gearbox and for engine?

+ Is there any differences what oil filter should I buy? Like trd etc...

Also I need to change other fluids (rad, charge cooler, clutch & brake fluid).

Thanks

I dont know anything about the ST205. But oils I do know about. One of the best engine oils out on the market is Motul v300 along with Gulf comp due to high flash points and TBN numbers ( very high TBN,total base number for anti wear) double ester oils. Also there gearbox oils are amazing. Take a look on the Opie Oils site at the fluid recommentations for your car and you will find everything you'll need. I've Motul v300 (5w-30) in my Polo TDi. Just wish I could use it in my Avensis T-180 but its far to high on the ash content for my DPF. The engine oil is expensive at almost £40 (From some places) for 2ltrs for certain grades! But I bought mine for about £10 for 2ltrs off amember on here. Bought about 25lts of the stuff off him.

On all my Toyota's (3 of which have been ST205's) i've always used Toyota's own oil. The ST205 takes 10w-40. Toyota's own 10w-40 is what came in the car when it was new and its what the dealer would put in on a service. Regular oil changes are much better for the engine than the brand of oil itself. I change my oil every 3000 miles and i change the filter every 6000.

Only use genuine Toyota oil filters. The have a special thermostatic valve thing in them which all the cheaper filter dont have. The more expensive TRD/HKS Etc filters are just a waste of time on a road car.

Yes the gearbox, transfer box and diff use 75W-90 GL5.

For the radiator and the charge cooler use Toyota Red Pre-mixed Coolant.

Use DOT5.1 fluid for the brakes and clutch.

You may also want to change the power steering fluid as its the only other fluid in the car other than the window sprayers. Just use any brand of Power Steering/Automatic Transmission Fluid as long as its either dexron II or dexron III. I've used both in the past and either seem to work fine with the power steering pumps in Celica's.
