Warranty Work

I Apreciate your loyalty to Toyota but if you had my auris I don't think you would be so loyal,p.s.car going in again due to water ingress on back lights.check all the other posts regarding defects, there's more than you think from failing headgaskets to dodgy release bearing, accelarators etc etc etc.p.s how many owners would actually know if their release bearing was goosed or why their rear window keeps steaming up or check their discs and pads,so there is probably loads of this marque running about with more defects than you realise.

I've noticed that my rear window is always steamed up? No visible leaks in the boot... any ideas? :/

After e-mailing T.G.B i got a reply yesterday to put it bluntly we are fixing everything under warranty what else do you want,i think on average of 2 visits a month over last 6 months is a bit of a P_ss take,as of today theres signs of a build up of moisture in rear clusters again, starting to think these cars are utter junk.its not just on this forum people are complaining theres people all over the place moaning about pathetic build quality.

Toyota GB customer service are the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. I have no idea what the purpose of them being there is as they give no customer service whatsoever.

Faults with my Auris

Burning excessive amounts of oil

Drivers seat has excessive play and knocks and bangs on acceleration and braking

Clutch judders

Brakes squeals

Both the Dealer and Toyota say there is no faults found

Strange, makes wonder if there is some collusion between them or am I going insane, I must be imaging myself constantly topping up the oil, I must also be imaging noises from the seat and the seat back moving, I must be driving on cobble stones when the clutch judders, When applying the brakes I must be hearing things. Should I go and have my hearing and senses tested by a Doctor?

Customer Services have been useless in this matter. Why have people on the Customer Service phones that have no technical knowledge? It all just adds up to numerous visits to the Dealer, numerous phone calls to dealer and Toyota, lots of time and money wasted and Toyota do not care less. They are quite happy taking your money but when something goes wrong they do not want to know. I think toyota are well aware of the terrible build quality of these cars and any fault that will be expensive to repair they will refuse to fix.

phil_1985, check behind the plastic door that lets you access the rear light cluster within bootspace to see if theres any water/moisture behind boot fabric/trim.

moondog, i see you are from the same auris planet as me.

I would get more sense speaking to an alien from outer space. I cannot make my mind up whether these people from Toyota are just plain incompetent or they have been instructed to be as negative, rude, downright unhelpful as possible and think they excempt from the laws of this country.

I bought my Auris almost 2 years ago and I was coming back multiple times to the dealer. I have noticed that Toyota is getting more reluctant about fixing all the issues. So far they have replaced gearbox, steering column and A/C compressor without any problems. The gearbox problem seems to be back after 30k miles but Toyota is asking more and more questions now. Another thing I have noticed is probably leaking water pump due to white residue all over the engine bay but again they can't see the problem with it. When I asked for FOC wheel nuts as they rusted, they quickly replied: no, but they were happy to quote me for new rear bumper due to some damage on it.
