I'm a st202 owner and have a major servicing problem that is getting me really  the spark plugs are buried deep in the engine and when i place the tool in it seems like there is a rubber round the spark plug restricting the use of the tool so im unable to remove the sparkplug i know there is one fitted under a screw on top of the engine with a rubber seal in the crankcase but its the rubbers inside the engine what do i do

Its most likely where someone has changed the plugs in the past and the rubber washer from within the spark plug socket has been left on the plug. (Not sure how the HT lead would connect up if this were the case, but cannot think of anything else that it could be).

Anyway, no there shouldnt be any rubber thing over a spark.

cheers for the reply its not sat on the sparkplug when we placed a torch in the holes on all 4 cylinders the rubber is on the outside of the spark plug when a spark plug remover is used it wont grip as the rubber is pushing the tool back up
