Hi

I only have one key for my 06 Rav4. Toyota want a fortune for 2 new ones and the 'reprogramming' required. Anyone know of a cheaper alternative ? I don't have a problem buying new blank keys but the new chips and programming is the expensive bit.

On my Rav4.2 you can programme both the remote and the chip for the immobilized with a sequence of doors and ignition.

If your 4.3 is the same, try Googling Car Key Help for a UK company who can both cut you a new key from a good digital photo and has the programming instructions on one of its pages.
