Must be hard not having triple figure mpgs :(

Yes, very annoying. After i get the "beep" for low fuel it's a bit of a guessing game. if the display says 99.9 the actual could be as low as 95mpg, which would see me run dry at 950 miles. or it could be well above 99.9 and i fill up before i need to. the PHV prototype i drove still only went up to 99.9.....

I can't wait for a car that gets an average of 99.9 mpg. I'm still impressed with the Prius getting 50 mpg. I guess the way things are going it won't be long before we get the magic 100 mpg average.

Talking of being happy. The local dealer did a sales call yesterday to see if I was happy with the prius after 2 years and was I thinking of trading it in for a new one? That sounds like a really hard sell. If I wasn't happy why would I buy another? If I am happy, why wouldn't I keep until it was 3 years old / warranty expired before looking to renew?

Sometimes they don't think before they pick up the phone. The Dealer Principal says, "Stop moping around the showroom lads. Drum up some sales by phoning around our database of customers." So the poor junior sales person gets stuck with the job, but they don't think through the message first. I hope you educated the caller.

Yes, I've had that. I think that the dealer who sold me my car is now very aware of what I think about Toyota GB, the weasel warranty and my chances of buying another car from them. I think that next year's sales calls will be even more productive, when most of the weasel warranties run out of time.

can't dispute the logic there.... The other thing of course is this: if you are happy, you may want to buy another one if the cost to change is beneficial. The dealer sells a new car and may well have a buyer looking for a 2 year old low mileage etc....

Sometimes the latter is the reason for the call, especially if the dealer is on the ball and knows what owner has what car...
