T3-S, Windsield Washer Not Working

Hi everybody,

Came back from long holiday, the car was stationary for 5 weeks. Front wiperblades work but not the windshield washer. Back window Wiper Blades and washer work OK.

Can anyone tell me if Toyota Avensis 2004 estate, disiel T3-S, is fitted with two washer pumps (one for the front window and one for the rear) or it is just one. When I pull back stalk on the stearing column the front wipers come on but not washer. Can't hear the pump working either. When I operate the stalk for the rear window, wipers and pump work OK.

Any sugestions ???

Remove Pipe and check if water comes through, if it does your washer nozzel are blocked.

I had done that, water does not come through at all since the pump does not operate when the stalk for the windshield is operated, the rear window (estate Avensis) is OK.

My question was, does anybody know if there are two pumps on this model or is just one shared for the windshield and rear window?

If the pump runs, you will hear a buss noise.
