Carina Remote Locking

just bought a carina it has two remote fobs

they will unlock the car but will not lock it

the led lights when the button is pressed but will not lock.

i checked the Battery in one of them and the voltage seems ok.

i tried to program one. by taking it apart pressing both buttons a couple of times putting it together then pressing unlock lock unlock now it wont work at all but the led still lights

any ideas

Have you checked all your doors, boot and bonnet are all closed properly? If they are ever so slightly open, then the remote locking wont work.

If it still doesnt work but all the batteries etc are all ok, then you may need either new fobs or to have your current ones reprogrammed by any car electric mechanics (if theres any in your area - alot cheaper than main dealer), if not then you can go to your local toyota dealer :)
