This site is driving Me nuts.. It keeps either refusing to load or crashes all the time ... Not funny If You have just spent time typing up a lengthy reply or post !! I have been unable to log on or have had the site crash for most of the weekend..

I spend more time on the other site now... Oh and no other site is doing this ...

Only this site for Me David.. Has been a problem for a while but now it crashes all the time, Every other site loads in a flash no bother ....... :unsure: :unsure:

Very slow at loading up for me too - I thought it was my son pinching all the bandwidth with his computer!

I don't think all these "live adverts" help with moving pictures. I've had other sites with server errors.

I learned a long time ago that when typing a lengthy reply to paste it into a word doc then you can spell check it and just paste it back if the site crashes. It always seemed to do it when I pressed the post button.

I run a script blocker on my web browser and not had any problems - so it might well be all the moving adverts (I do not get them)? :bag:

I don't block scripts but have banished all the adverts and am not experiencing problems. Often use the mobile version too, and that's advert free. I have been away this week but checked in occasionally and report no issues.

To be honest I can't see how the adverts would affect the delivery of the site as these normally come from a different server, but I can't speak for this set-up.

Things that are being blocked as I look at this page are:

Google Adsense

Google Analytics

Quantcast

Skimlinks

Can't pretend to know what these do, but I do not even see any adverts and not had any problems (famous last words)

That said I did have something like what you lot are describing on another website until I started blocking stuff, no problems since...

What web browser are those having problems using - is that something in common? Not a computer geek, honest :blink:

TBH I thought it was my ISP as have had problems with this site before due to things that the ISP were doing, but at that time it did affect other sites, yesterday it didn't!

All back to normal today by the look of it, so apart from withdrawal symptoms, no adverse effects!

Charlie, Rav4world.com!!!!! Was alright when Kelly owned the Site, I,m even a moderator on the site, but since it,s changed owners it,s not the same. The problem is that they have a different Rav in the USA and it is biased towards them.I enjoyed my time on there until I found TOC Rav4 section, and for us mere Brits its alot more in tune. I can remember when Anchs had na stars and Chatman was never of the forums.

My signing in problems started about four or five weeks ago.

I tried logging in using the existing password which came up automatically but it was declined saying there was an error with the pasword.

I tried several times,using the same password but it was no good,but after that i was typing the wrong password anyway which was my fault but i also tried several times to renew the password but again it wouldn't accept it.

It was only because i could contact Big Kev who i askked to help as i couldn't log in to contact a Mod or owner.

I believe BK and Anchs tried contacting Steve for me but didn't hear a thing.

It was only when i was prompted by BK to sign back up from new using my old puter that the password showed so i tried it and it worked,but apart from taht i couldn't see anyway of contacting a Mod??

There is usually a forgotten password link ?? You put in You Email and You get your password and user name sent to it....

Nope.

Tried that several times Charlie,and was still coming up as an error!!!

I even replied to TOC when i received an email about a comp which was been run but never heared from that either,thats how desperate i was :help:

I also couldn't get the TOC page up for most of yesterday by the way.??

And since coming back i have been getting mails saying about what has been quoted from my posts,which i never had before??

Paul. The notifications of One of the topics you posted or made a comment on have been happening for a couple of weeks or so. This happened without Me changing any settings or anything so I guess its the same for everyone...
