What Is The Picnic Automatic Like

I love my Picnic manual ... but considering getting a slightly newer and half the mileage automatic.

Just wondered if anyone has any views / info on how good the automatic is ... likely problems etc.

I've had an automatic picnic for 8 years, no problems with the transmision or anything else either. The column gear shift is different but very easy to get used to and to use. Gear change is smooth and problem free on a 106,000 mile car.Brilliant car which you may find difficult to find in low mileage auto - avoid towbars.
