Not sure if this is covered elsewhere .

My 2003 Previa had a new Turbo in August after the old one blew , all was fine then this week I've had the engine just cut out then when key turned off and turned again , it starts fine , it did it twice today , I don't think it's the turbo as when my old one used to play up , it would go into limp mode and the engine would still run , My key started falling to bits a few months ago but I'd managed to fix it but it's been fine up until this week .

Any ideas what it could be ? also how much do Toyota sting you for replacement keys ?

Hi,

I have had the same problem with both keys for my 2002 Previa. You can get replacement genuine key blanks from eBay, I think about £2 each. I had the key part cut at a local key cutter (cost about £5 each). You then just swap over the electronics from the old to the new keys.

And that's it.

Good luck,

Rob
