Rattling Gear Stick

For info it's a 4.2 Petrol XTR.

Gear stick gets a rattle through it at certain revs, mostly in 5th while accelerating. Can be stopped by pushing it forward. Anyone know what could be vibrating?

On a Ford Puma I used to have there was a little plastic spacer round the gear linkage that caused the same sort of noise, packing out the gap with grease stopped it rattling around. Wondered if there was similar on the Rav and if so is it accessible.

This and the squeaky clutch drive me barmy! Everything else is great.
