again this is from a 98 avensis, unfortunately a previous owner has been very thoughtfull and burned a load of !Removed! holes into the cloth portion of both my front door cards, planning on just re-covering them with some black leather to match my future interior when i find one, anybody know if its just pushed in or if im gonna have to try and cover it without actually removing the cloth section, any info would be much appreciated, ive had a quick look but cant see if im gonna break it or its gonna push out

cheers

Hi Rhys,

Try this for a repair. You need to get stuff that replicates the material you are trying to repair that is a similar match. With glue you dab the damaged areas with the repair material. If the colour does not match, do what I learnt from wheeler dealers - get a can of spray paint of the colour you need and spray the whole section of the material.

The other option is to wait until you get replacement the door cards.

I have not visited the forum for a while and missed your central locking problem, but you did the correct thing to searched the forum for the solution.

Just wondering, who's solution gave you the answer?

Good luck for your projects on the car and look at my posts.

Konrad
