Headlamp Avensis 2004

Hello guys

My avensis has factory fitted xenons. I had my service dine last week and the Mecanic told ne that I need a new headlamp because the bulb melted the inside or outside of the fittings

My question is this: are all the headlamps the sane for the xenon or non xenon fitted bulbs? I saw some original headlamps on eBay but I'm not sure if they will be good for me or not

Also, shall I go with the non original headlamps? They are cheaper but I don't know if better or the same quality

Hello mate,

check with your local Toyota dealer in respect to the extended warranty on faulty Avensis headlights, if your car is covered by this warranty it just could be the best phone call you ever made in regards to saving you a load of money.

I have no extended warranty cover. They've quoted me 325 pounds for the headlight :(

Oh dear they must have withdrawn that one then ... but I thought they covered them for up to 7 years and there has been lots on the forum about it .
