Glow Plug Relay

Had a look under the relay box but am not confident as to which relay it is. Could anyone help me out please? Is there a picture somewhere or maybe someone could tell me how its described. Couldn't actually see something that says 'glow plug heater relay....' or am I looking in the wrong place? Cheers.

Thanks for your reply I've now gone 'tecchy" Not done this before so hope it works!

The diagram shows a left hand drive 4.2 but no reason to suppose that the engine compartment is different. Relay box no. 2 is the photo with 3 relays and 3 fuses and relay box no. 6 is the photo with the blue relays and a lot more fuses. At the moment I'm none the wiser as to which might be the glow plug relay......

Mate I took all the information from a Workshop PDF. As it likely of Japanese origin this may be why it shows diagram's for left hand drive ?? Not sure to be honest ....

Its also a manual for the 4.3 that I have as stated above.. I just thought it may give a few ideas at least where to start looking.....

Don't the !Removed! drive on the same side of the road as here in the UK? Got a Haynes UK manual that has a schematic saying Starting and Charging system (diesel ) - 2003 onwards and that also prefers LHD models! It mentions the relay but not sure were it is. I'll scan it if you wish.

I believe it is on the driver side suspension turret but if no, down that pulley side somewhere. Have a look at this;

Wee Charlie, thanks for the info. deffo. got me looking! (and ps I'm into bikes also but not as wonderful as the stuff you have in your stable - without going off the thread last one sold in Feb was a CB750K 1972 now feeling sad and bikeless)

pmb - quote "Don't the !Removed! drive on the same side of the road as here in the UK? anchorman - your pdf looks like the answer - I'll check it tomorrow when there is daylight again.

Thanks everyone who's contributed. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

That Haynes manual wants pitching in the bin.

good evening learned sirs.(well its night time where I am!) regarding the above schematic ? is the relay in the same position on an '02 d4d? PS Anchorman: the recon turbo works fine but still a wee bit "sticky" on kickin' in . and just thought this thread might have an answer.ie:relay on the way out? sorry for the ignorance, hence the flattery at the start of thread!
