Lexus Style Rear Lights

I have just swapped my old 1ltr yaris for a T3 1.3 and bought some lexus style rear lights for it. I took the lights to the dealer I bought the car from only to be told that it would invalidate the warrenty on the whole car not just the lights, because they are not a standard Toyota part and they would have to change the wiring.

I was assured when I bought them that there would be no problem. Anyone else had any experience of the having the Lexus Style Lights fitted?

Who did you buy them off? go back to them and tell them what's happening re the warrenty? maybe they could have a word to the garage...?

personally i would have thought only engine/suspension mods would not be covered under warrenty.... not lights...

you could always have them fitted and if anything was to go wrong with the car - you could always swap them back to the originals -

only the lights will become invalid from the warrenty and if they cause anyproblems with other parts of the car. which will be fault of the person who fits them

as for the wiring the plugs have to be changed to the old style off of the phase 1 yaris. it can be done
