Why Do I Keep Watching Topics?

Hi all, just a quick question.

Every time I reply to a topic it sets me as Watching the topic. So I receive emails every time someone else posts on it. Is this normal? It never used to happen!

I think it happened after the last software update, it is either a new default or maybe some of the old profile settings didn't quite match in the updated software? Look in your profile, I think I found an option to switch the auto watching topic thing off. It worked for any new topics, and I just waited for people to stop posting to the topics that had it joined before I switched the auto watch thing off.

To be honest, I find the web based software that I am exposed to, mainly these forum based applications, so clumsy, clunky and unpleasant to use from a UI perspective, that I put very little effort into learning how to use them. Come to think of it, I feel much the same about the Prius Sat-Nav interface, which probably explains why I still have trouble finding out where to enter the partial post-code, whereas the Garmin is so obvious.

Thanks for the replies!

Not sure what planet I've been on, but I missed a tick box under notification settings saying "watch every topic I reply to". Pretty obvious really!
