Had my car for nearly 2 years and didnt know you could do this just by playing around with your light controls.

Why bother buying and fitting those kits off eBay when you can do it for free!

My car today,

And if you dont like it.. you dont have to have it!

It looks pants IMHO.

If I saw a motor like that I'd think it was broke. If this trend continues we'll all be taking a hammer to our front wings or kerbing our alloys, anything to make our great cars look crap - like the sleepy eye lights.

:)

I think it looks cool.. not gonna go for that look everyday but its nice to have the option for a change. I dont think it looks broke at all.. its just different.

How do you do this without the conversion?

When I switch the engine off the lights just retract <_<

When you turn the light off, you quickly flick them back to the first notch, which tells them to stay up (meant for maintance). If you do it at the right time, you can catch the lights half up/down.

Ive modified mine a bit to do this automatically ;) and i can switch the lights on while they are "sleepy" which makes for some damn fine sidelights and quite a menacing look

I expect if you drove round like that you would probably attract the attention of the local constabulary

That looks wicked - I love it - my two (mark 1) has controls you turn from inside the bonnet to lift the lights (yes it has the electric option as well  ) - is that the same with the mk2?. Will have to try that tonight! <_<
