Hi All

I've purchased used Toyota aygo (mileage 22000) and I am getting avg 40.7 mpg (driving in town centres)

I am not sure is average is good or bad?

Any suggestion

Thanks

City driving will kill the MPG's on any car except a hybrid, try and keep the revs down and make sure your tyres are at the correct pressure or 1 psi above the recommended.

Yeah, 40's isn't too bad, although I think the Aygo can hit the 50's if your driving style and the car setup are spot on!

Higher tyre pressures and making sure the oil is regularly changed help, as does a smooth driving style. Look ahead to anticipate stops so you can lift off and let the engine braking slow the car down; This saves a lot of fuel as the Aygo has DFCO and will use no fuel at all when engine braking!

I've checked tyre pressure and its 29 psi is that ok with alloy wheel in aygo

what else i should check in car setup

I don't know what the manual recommended pressures are for the Aygo; You'd have to check, but try setting your tyres to that +3 or +5 psi and see if it helps?
