I'm a paid member on the Celica Club Forum but thought I'd join the whole Toyota Owners club forum as I'm thinking of trading in for something else..

I'm really excited about the FT-86 but for the time being I'm looking at Supra's.

Can anyone tell me what are any major problems or any major bits of advice when looking? What years/models are the best to buy?

Cheeeers :D

Welcome - although I'm new here too, I can give you a couple of pointers for the Supra (I had a Mk 1V N/A on an N' plate.

Firstly, try to find one with the proper glass headlamps as many have the old plastic ones. They tend to fade & suffer from discolouration after a few years and can fail an MOT. If you end up buying glass headlamps, they'll cost in excess of £500 a pair !

Secondly, the official Toyota UK Supras came fitted with bigger & better rear brakes, although obviously some modders have upgraded them on their import models. Also the UK cars have a vent in the bonnet, which again the imports don't normally have as standard.

Hope that helps ! :)
