SWMBO has started using her car for work purposes and has started travelling to different Childrens centres and has started using her SatNav. She is complaining that there are alot of new roads which don't appear on her SatNav and would like to update the maps.

This is what we currently have

I've been looking on eBay for some newer DVD Maps but I'm not sure if they will work with our HU

What/Where is the best place to get an updated Map?

Yours takes a GEN 3 map set, and is a TNS600.

http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu/ for the part number.

The prices will stun you and you won't get a full postcode search.

eeek!!

Thats alot of money

Would I be correct in thinking that the code 86271 refers to the generation of the HU that the disc will work in?

To be honest I'm not sure sorry, I only have a TNS310. You could have a look at the part number of your existing disc and the current version, and compare it with the TNS700 and TNS310 to see if a pattern emerges.

Yours is the same sat nav unit as mine, you will need the same DVD as in this thread http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130361

The latest is E14 (2011-2012)

You will need the WEST DVD for UK mapping

Thanks for that. It has provided an interesting read
