I couldnt make it, heard of a mk1 club meet to be held on sunday morning just down the road from me on saturday night. As i am in desperate need of some info regarding the car i made a last minute decison to go there.

Wish i hadnt, the car is gone cost ££££.

Is that silver one Jaxx'a motor? I like the spoiler

Good to meet you guys, of course the 'usual suspects' (Ryan, Adam, Jerry....) and also some guys I hadnt before (Jaxx etc...)..

I still cant get over you Yaris boys filling your boots full of Subs and amps.... where does the shopping go???

Of course, I had to show what a completely stock stereo is capable of.... :D

Pass on my apologies, but on saturday the car started behaving a bit weird idle revs up and down, while accelerating it had power then it didnt and i couldnt find anything wrong.

While at the mk1 meet, someone showed a a cover that is suppossed to be water proof, underneath was the sparkplugs. Swimming in 1 1/2 inches of water

The problem is i have a lot to learn about this car, just to stop things getting worse never mind fixing the things i know about. All part off the fun.

Will defo be at JAE, and i am assumming there will be some more meets before JAE.

I just need to sort the car out so that i trust it for long journeys.

midship pilot - i assume yours was the dark blue mk1 then?? if so ill check the camera

Yes that Mk1 looked very good. I gave it the once over and didn't see any evidence of rust or panels out of alignment. Nice drive.

yeah the very nice mk1 was his, i hate him for coming (only kidding kit) cuz i soooo want one now! , nice seeing you all!

fidgits i think toyota could learn a thing or 2 from lexus about what a real stereo is because my singing's better than a standard yaris system and im tone deaf!

Thanks guys - it was worth all the effort of getting it sharp - next up is the interior. I took the seats up to a guy in Nottingham to have them reupholstered, doing the whole cabin in cream with claret carpets, (most of the work myself). I think it will lighten it up cos it's all so dark blue. The Momo steering wheel makes a load of difference too - it will take a good 4 weeks to finish, just in time for the sunny dayz with the top off mmmmm. B)
