Gear Stick Part?

Any one know what part is called that the gear stick shaft connects to at the bottom. small plastic shape thing that the shaft connects into think it has worn making small rattling noise in 5th gear ?

I'm not too sure but it might be called a ball joint.

I guess you are referring to the frame and moving parts within it at ther base of the gear change lever? Accessible by removing centre console? This would give you access to try greasing the moving bits.

Never had any problems with that making a noise, especially as its plastic. Maybe a loose cable causing the rattle or something transferring noise??

Did try to greasing all moving parts .cables seem tight stll got the rattle some were seems that its coming from this plastic gear stick connector input it moves around a bit looks like it has a small crack in it wondering if that might be the case. but its plastic going into metal never thought it would make this noise , cheers for the feed back guys .
