Replace Rear Brake Before Front?

hello,

i have done a 30000km service(the car has only 28000km). the service replaced my rear brake and the front were untouched. they said that they are good.

my question to you is how can it be that the rear brake were worn out before the front ones...?

it is not possible unless the rear brake is not calibrated and / or the handbrake is not calibrated.

the model is 2010.

if it is manufacture fault, who should pay for this service?

please help.

thank you.

Its unusual for the rears to wear before the fronts! I would have to think that there could be a problem with either the hannbrake adjustment or the calipers. After a short drive do the rears get very hot? I would be inclined to contact Mr T and ask that question on why this has happened and see what they have to say about it!

i don't know if they get hot or not.

i asked the service and they said it is the way it is...

As Mistermena said it would be unusual for the rears to need replaced before the front unless there was corrosion, scoring etc.

Mr. T is Toyota.

At least on my car the handbrake operates internally on the rear discs - it's a totally different setup from the pads used when driving & as such should have no effect on the main pad wear.

Why would Toyota USA have anything to do with it if you are in Israel (US built car?)?

all they'll do is just pass it/ you to Toyota Israel - it's got nothing to do with them.
