Yaris Central Locking Problem

Evening all!

My central locking has developed a "quirk".

Basically, the drivers door will not lock remotely. But if I use the key, all four door lock and unlock.

Am I right in assuming I need a new actuator?

Not necessarily. I assume that the other doors open OK with the remote and a new Battery for the remote is needed. If it is just the drivers door the solenoid could be jammed, moved on its fixings and be out of line or it could be an electrical problem, corroded connectors etc. You need to remove the doorcard and test the solenoid and its wiring before buying a new one.
