Idtags For Mp3 - Tns700

Gents,

I was searching the forum - but couldn't find anything regarding idtags for mp3 files.

How many letter can TNS700 read from the ID Tag? I was trying already a couple of combination but still i see only 10 letters maximum or something like that.

The manual of TNS700 says, that the Navi can read ID Tag V1.0 up to v2.3 - but those formats can contain much longer titles, artists names as i can see on my navi screen.

Am i doing something wrong recording the CDs or it is not possible to see full ID tag of MP3 files?

Hmmmmmm Not too sure as mine dont do MP3

But just a thought if your having problems, have you tried a later sat nav disc? There may have been a change in later firmware versions to fix little bugs like this?

right now i have e12 disc.

i know that there is already e13 available but do not know about any firmware updates comming with it.

E12 should be ok as its a fairly late one, The firmware loads up at the begining if needed.

mine seems to show either 13 or 16 characters - certainly not the whole title.
