Hi I have a Prius 97 and the Sat Nave wants me to go round roundabouts when there are flyovers and it thinks I am in the middle of a field when I am on the M6 Toll.

I have seen updates advertised for all makes of cars including Bentleys and Jags on the net from Satgnavi.com.

Anyone any expierence of this? Do you think it will work and update Ok

That site is know to sell copied discs (They even advertise them as Backup Discs). They may work but it wouldn't really be legal.

I've got old E12 and E13 discs that I no longer use (Genuine) as I've upgraded to E14. They should work in your car if it is a Gen 2 Prius (although it would be a good idea to let me know the code numbers on your current disc so I can check). If you are interested send me a message and I can work out how much they are worth.

Alternatively you can buy the latest discs straight from Toyota - they cost about £140 (depending on the exchange rate with the Euro) - available at http://toyota-mapupdates.eu/

For the M6 toll and other toll roads set your Sat/Nav to accept toll roads. It is easy to do. If you get stuck it is in the manual. You will have to update your Sat /Nav Disc if you want the latest roads etc even on my Prius 2011 model the Sat/Nav does not recognise all new roads.

If the OP has a '97 Prius, it will be a Japanese import 1st generation I would imagine???

As far as being in the middle of a field on the M6 toll - erm - aren't you?? :)

I forgot it was a 97 Prius what I said before would not apply to that model. I suppose the best way to solve the problem is to get the latest Tom Tom.

I wasn't sure if the OP was talking about a 97 Prius listed in the text of the message, or a 2007 Prius that is listed in the user-info at the side. 97 could easily be a mis-type for 07.

Good point... We won't know till he comes back!
