Watcha guys,

ok, i love my P reg previa. Its served me well over the years but i have just about had enough with the fuel economy (or lack of it). I am seriously thinking someone is nicking my fuel or i have a !Removed! hole in the tank !!!

Van is a uk 2.4 solair automatic.P reg

I am getting about 12 mpg on a good day !!! and my last tank seemed to do about 6 mpg (£20 of fuel got me 25 miles!!!).

OK. I know these old girls dont do many miles per gallon but hey this is stupid. My older previa i had used to get more mpg.

So....any ideas, suggestions? I am thinking maybe Lambda or another sensor is sending the wrong info to the ecu.

Any help appreciated or i am going to try and flog her and get an estate or Estima/diesal.

Cheers

Pete

hi seiously poor mpg have you checked the tank for pin holes to look at the tank you may not see any holes you will only see a very small damp patch because as the petrol leaks it also evaporates away leaving no wet patch its dont forget the top of the tank and also the fuel lines if the are steel sections in them . it happened to me many years ago with a jeep but fuel was a bit cheaper then , good luck
