Tailgate Struts

Hi, posting this on behalf of my 76yr old father.

He needs to replace the tailgate struts on his 01 Avensis, anyone know of any online fitting instructions?

Open the tailgate and support with a suitable wooden prop.

Note which way round the strut is fitted- the piston rod end is located on the tailgate body.

Using a small screwdriver release the spring clip and pull the strut from its balloint on the tailgate.

Similarly release

the strut from the ball joint on the body and withdraw the strut from the vehicle.
