Fuel Guage

Hi can anyone help me my fuel light comes on but my fuel guage does not move its it stays well past the empty and does not move when a fill it right up.

Any help will do thanks

Probably cos being frae Fife masel, ye never pit mair than 3 litres in at a time !

Aside o that, the sender is probably eitherknackeredor more like the wirings corroded. The sendercan be accessed fraethe wee panel below the rearseats. If ye choose taehit the tank area wi a hammer, careful theres naesparks !

wiring is fine in the conectors so eather the flot or the sender. fill get a new one

Unplug the wire and earth it at the sender unit. If the fuel guage goes up its the sender.

I no it sound daft is it the part from the fuel tank or the part you connect to the tank?

There should be a plug with wires on the fuel tank. They are all a bit different so just look at the wires or photgraph it and report back so I can see what you've got on yours :thumbsup:
