Rear Lens Covers Going Green

I was looking at my rear light lenses today and there is a green mould growing inside each of them as the lens is recessed it is difficult to see if it is a seal or damp just getting into the surround.

My car looks like a 10 year old Mondeo.

It is kept outside but I keep it exceptionally clean and most time thread the wash leather into the recess but the green mould is below where the leather can reach.

I am thinking this should not happen to a car only a year and a half old so will be approaching the dealership to get this sorted as a warranty job but will wait till after winter.

Has anyone else experienced this or are my rear lenses just not tightened up enough?
