Slipping Clutch

Hi all, i'm new to the forum but not toyota, i had a carina E before and loved it, unfortunately someone decided to break in and strip it for me, anyway now got an avensis and am mighty impressed but! the clutch is slipping, how big a job is it to do myself cos funds are tight but time isn't.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!!

I've not done a clutch on an Avensis yet. But I'm guessing its a bit of a big job. If your doing it I'd be changing the DMF on it at the same time. LUK is the original make for Toyota so take a look out for that make. http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/ are one of the cheapest I've found. But take a look also on eBay as I've seen in the past some genuine Toyota clutch sets (LUK) with DMF go for £200 brand new. Sachs are also very good but your looking at about the £440 mark for the lot....

It is a rather big job. I did it on my Carina some years ago. I guess it is the same kind of job on the Avensis. A gearbox is very heavy to lift and to get in place. I would let a garage do it, even that I know that I can do it my self.
