Automatic Gearbox Advice

Hi All,

We've had this car for over 4 years and apart from servicing, brake pads, disks and tyres it has been faultless we're up to 75K.

Appears to drink fuel as if it is going out of fashion 200-220 to 50 litres, mostly town driving but has never been particularly good.

Recently its began to play up when cold, the gearbox in drive seems to over rev with little drive. stab the accelerator down and it gets a move on. After 5 mins warming up it returns to normal.

As the weather is getting colder I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice on what it could be.

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.
