Hatchback Window Washer

Hi

I've got a 2008 Avensis Hatchback and the rear washer nozzle appears to be blocked. There is the faintest of trickles and a pin into the hole won't dislodge the bit of grit or whatever!! Getting access to it will be via the inside no doubt. Before I go charging in and forcing the interior trim to gain access - can someone provide guidance as to the best way to do it. There doesn't appear to be any obvious way of popping off the trim. These panels tend to be fairly fragile so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've now removed the trim and found that the nozzle isn't blocked at all!! The pump runs but just a trickle come out or the rear hose! The blockage must be elsewhere! Any ideas? Are there two pumps? one for the front and one for the rear?

Maybe there is an airgap? I almost never use mine and find I have to run it for quite a long time before anything even comes out sometimes

The one on my Yaris is at the top of the rear window and literally just runs down rather than being sprayed.

I've now checked the pumps - both are working fine. There must be a blockage somewhere along the hose from the bottle to the nozzle. I was being generous in calling it a trickle. More like a drip!! It's not really worth trying to find the blockage - much easier to replace the entire hose from front to rear I think.

Therew will be a non-return valve in the pipe so the pump doesn't have to refill the pipe each time it is used.

I can't remember it's exact location but on must cars it is usually around half-way along or at the lowest point. If you discionnect the pipe from the washer or pump and feed a thin piece of electrical wire down hopefully it will stop at the non-return valve - thus giving you a rough idea of its loaction.
