Extended Warranties

Hi all - I (stupidly) didn't take a an extended warranty when I bought my iQ from a dealership about 18 months ago, and now my warranty is about to expire I've been asked if I want to extend it. My quote for 1 year is £375.00 (or £337.50 if I take it up before 21 December). This includes Toyota Club membership and a £50 voucher towards service costs if I don't need to get anything repaired over the year. Is this a good deal?

Well with the Toyota club £60+ and the £50 voucher, I think its a canny deal if you wish to keep the car and have relatively worry free motoring.

I used to pay £1100 a year for the Jag

Thanks Dave! I must admit I've been really impressed with Toyota so far, so I'm tempted to take it out. One thing I am confused about though is the Club Toyota membership as I only renewed that in September. I'll ask them about it if I decide to go for the deal.

If you buy a new Toyota having just renewed your Club Toyota membership you can have the new membership period, gained with the new car, added to your just renewed period.

So in your case just contact Club Toyota, email or phone, and they should do it all for you.

That is fine if you intend to keep the car long enough.

That sounds like a good deal for the warranty, but as ever read the small print!

Thanks very much - will do.

I still have a year remaining on my warranty, but I think I might well extend it if I can. I dont usually bother, as most of the time they have stupid clauses that make them not worth while.

You wont beat the warranty from Mr T as it covers everything the original one did. I wish I'd gone for it but I was 1000 miles or so over the limit and no go for me! Well worth the piece of mind I recon
