Avensis Engine Light

Hi, my 2001 avensis 1.8 VVTI engine light just came on. Oil is fine, no overhating, no noises from the engine. I had the cat changed about a week ago. The light came on yesterday. I would like to know if anyone has had the same or similar experience please. ???

The engine management warning light can illuminate for numerous reasons and ideally you would need it read by a suitatble code reader.

But as the CAT was replaced recently it would do no harm to check the wiring to the oxygen sensors haven't come adrift.
