Bird Strike Please Help

Hi,

Just had a major Bird strike on the front grille of the Verso, thing is its a mess.

I'm going to try and get a new grille and paint it, but does anyone know if something should plug into this Black connector, or is

it blanked off like the white one?

Can someone please have a look through their grille?

It's a 2005 Verso T3.

Thanks alot, it's surprising how much damage a Pheasant can do! and what a mess they make.

I don't know if anything was connected before the Pheasant killing.

These pics are pretty poor, you can't see a thing from the engine bay, underneath or through the centre of the grill as the holes are filled in sorry.

Black - It seems to have a black plug sticking into it.

White - Cant see a lot of it.

I'm thinking these are unused connectors for options.

As the HVAC still works fine, and the outside air temp works fine.

I would like to think that if it was really bad you would have the EML on, i would just keep an eye on the temp gauge if its sensor.

Hi,

I think that the black plug goes to the the external temperature probe but your readout will either confirm or deny this.

As for the white plug, AFAIK, i believe it is for the front turn cameras on the T spirit/T180 with Sat nav which explains why it has got a cap over it.

I have the black plug and sensor at the bottom of the rad (must be the outside air temp sensor as this works)

I also a black connector behind the toyota Badge? this is the one that may of had something plugged into it before the pheasant incident :(

I'm sure im looking into this way too much, as everything works.

But has anyone got a link to the 2005 verso workshop manual to I can check out the wiring diagram? before I repaint the grille and refit?
