Nice to see you back Charlie, It's hard to believe someone would do such a thing.

If that had happened to me I would've gone medieval :chair:

Well done for keeping cool mate and I hope you and your family have a good one :newyear:

Cheers

Dave

Was nice to meet You a week or two ago !! Glad You now have the engine issue sorted ... We must have a think about that reversing camera job that We spoke about when You first joined the Forum ?? I have the tools and if You can read the wiring diagram's it will be a doddle !! We should do the Auto folding mirror mod while We are at it ??

Take Care !

Jamie, I have got a Townsend bike in the rafters of my garage. A proper bike made out of decent iron tubes that will crash through a stone wall with no problem. You can have it if you like but it drops you on your crown jewels with no warning  and it is solid enough to comply with the laws of gravity so I find pushing it uphill keeps you fit.

Try and nick one with a boys frame next time (poor Jamie is trying to get us to take his hand made ultra tech bike seriously). And what about some mudguards?

laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif Oh how I've missed the banter......

I prefer my two-wheelers to have an engine. Much more civilised!

Following the thread of this conversation, I don't think I have mentioned that I invested in a similar machine to Chatman....

narrow wheels and rubber slicks fitted !!! The saddle is a good bit wider and I have 2 castor type wheels up the front as the 2 large rear wheels are mounted on the rear axle. Sudden acceleration causes wheelies, and so it is only fitted with rear brakes. The wheel style is however a 5 spoke design. I couldn't get a lightweight version as my own weight is bordering 150kgs so pushing myself up a hill (re ancs) is exercise enough ! Looking around for a sidecar for it for my grandaughters

Chatters would love it overhere on the IOM, their bike MAD!!!!! Mind we do have a certain Mark Cavendish- born and bred overhere. Would you believe he was here at Christmas racing in a local road-race.

Stew, was a big mistake on my part going German, but I still stuck around on TOC, cause I love you all to bits  I would never go German again (can,t afford).

Chatters has made several contributions to the pinned section.

Over the years you have watched birthdays and certainly given much good advice. After 3 years and more than 2000 posts.............

AND......ye don't even mention MA STAR, which I got for coming on here and talking a shot of light mostly (does spoonerised bad words still count as "a lack of vocabulary"...?)

I am convinced I got mine for giving my precious Rav over to aging mechanics to practice on, and have no regrets in so doing....I now have an ipod that tells me if there are any obstacles whilst reversing, and a spotlessly clean EGR valve that perfectly illuminates my boot area. Not forgetting horns that light up when ye change the fuel filter....pure class. This Toyota Forum Rocks, mins...!!!!!
