Brake Servo

do anyone know how to remove a brake servo (BRAKE BOOSTER) in a celica 1990 st185 RHD auto,

do i have to move the engine somehow so it will come out as they dont seem any room.

i have removed 4 nuts, spring and the pin inside the car

Usually you remove the connection to the pedal (as you've done), undo the 4 bolts (as you've done) then undo all the brake pipes and vacuum pipes leading to the servo. You should then be able to literally pull the servo off of the firewall and upwards.

Bolt the new servo on, connect up all the pipes and the pedal. Fill the system, start up the car and bleed it.

I start with wheel closest to the servo, bleed that and move to the 2nd closest and onwards. Once all 4 corners are done i go back around a 2nd time in the same order to make sure all the air is gone :thumbsup:

if any one would like to know i had to move the engine 50mm up and forward to remove the servo,

i removed left hand engine mount that give me only just room to remove it, took 4hours in all remove and replace
