Head Light Bulb Problem

im having second Thoughts about Changing my mechanic i dont think he is doing the work correctly and is doing nearly 5 or 6 cars at once

and when ever anything goes wrong its you need a new one id even say he would nearly say get a new engine

anyway mine is a 2000 toyota avensis and my prob was when i put a the Headlights on sometimes the driver head lamp would not go on full just parking and i had to bang the headlight on to get it on ,

when iu told my mechanic he said ah u need a new bulb which he put in and it did work ok for 2 weeks but now it is doing the same thing again

would anybody know what the prob might be and what i should do thanks

Sounds like the bulb holder may be faulty or has a poor earth - time to get the bulb holder out for a few checks me thinks.
