Tow Bar Wiring

Hi, i am fitting a tow bar to my auris but want a cheaper way for wiring as the genuine

wiring kits are very pricey,would i be able to fit it the old way solder the wires

into the loom from the 12n socket to a audible relay,or should i buy a smart relay which just req

a live then this will make it safe ie multiplexing and can bus etc ideas would be great

Change all trailer lamp bulbs with LEDs so that you won't need any relay, fit only an ordinary trailer socket directly connected to the car rear lamps harness.
