Toyota Avensis Thermostat Location And Repair Manual

Hi all, Just had the AA guy out, he's done some tests and it seems that the thermostat has gone wrong. So to that end would anybody have an idea where abouts the thermostat location is on the avensis, its a 2.2 d4d registered 2007, also would any body have a repair manual for the car as haynes don't print them. Hello mate, Is the AA man 100% sure on the thermostat as these engines are prone to head gasket problems. Maybe a trip to your local Toyota dealers might be wise as the problem is covered by an extended warranty up to around 112k miles and if you touch it they may not cover it!

The thermostat is located on the coolant inlet pipe in the housing bolted onto the engine block. Remove the two nuts and disconnect the housing. Thernostat may be stuck open,if not it can be tested in a pan of water on the cooker to see if it opens.
