Mirror Backing

Thanks to a very annoying prat in Tesco's car park who not only knocked the mirror backing of my Auris, but then ran over it & shattered it into around 8 pieces - I had to order a new one from Toyota. I didn't mind the 3 day wait or the £31 bill for the part itself. However when they told me that they only come in black & my car is blue, I was more than a little bit taken aback when they asked for £50 + VAT to have it painted ! It's a 6" bit of plastic for goodness sake & the paint is not chrome, gold leaf or non-standard. I took the part (unpainted) & have decided to get it done elsewhere, question is does anyone know where I can get the correct paint match (other than a Toyota dealer) please ? Thanks to anyone who can help :)

Halfords do a paint mixing and colour matching service. As long as it isn't a pearlescent paint they can usually do quite a close match - Might be worth a look!

I intend to do this myself anyway, I just needed to find the paint first. I'll ask at my local dealer today :)

As for Crofter's idea, I'm afraid they have too many negative or neutral feedback scores for my liking. Quite a few buyers that were not happy, so I'll pass on them. But thanks for trying anyway :)

Problem solved ! Local Toyota dealer parts man sourced me a spray can of the correct paint code for under a tenner, so happy with that. As it's a metallic paint it'll need a laquer too, but luckily I already have some :)
