Right......on my way out to for a lovely days walking :D

Got out of village, onto main road....put my foot to floor (in a rush),engine temp gauge 1/4 of way up,then......engine held back quite badly....then

That engine light came on,went into limp mode :o so i pulled over (lucky i found a lane to pull into).let it all calm down, turned off, jumped out, locked it and waited a few mins.

Then unlocked it,started it.....engine light didn't come on this time, drove normally

Went for a further good strong drive around quiet country lanes ( bit of thrash around)...no troubles ( bearing in mind engine in full operating temp now)

Now......the fault occured during engine warm up ( temp gauge 1/4 way up),now engine at normal temp....all is well

I have to admit it has held back a little for ages now ( during gentle acceleration),and at same stage of the day ( during warm up) ..but once normal temp is reached it appears to be ok.

Now i've had the DMF done,SCV''s done....would the EGR cause this ?:help:

Have printed off the item from the pinned section,as tempted to have a go myself, but think i will leave it to garage.

Rav booked in at nearest garage for Thurs pm,only time i have off work

Well.....just taken Rav for a quick run around,IF i just start it as i always do...give it a min or so before actually drive off, then gently pull away through the gears barely go above 4000rpm.

I must just resist flooring it ( have never ever red lined it anyway)...until its reached full normal temp.Even then i've never redline'd it.

If i need to pull away from a busy junction....i can't..... if its still warming up

Once it's at normal temp....it goes ok.

Still need that fault code though
