Hello,

Please tell me where I can find the EGR VALVE at the attached picture?

Do you have any experience with cleaning those things? I think mine has to be cleaned.

Thank you.

Gert

if it's the 2.0 diesel then remove airbox and remove fuel filter. egr valve sits in the engine block. will have 2 black water hoses attached.

to clean it remove it and spray some cleaner in, let it soak and then grab and old toothbrush. on the engine side blow compressed air into the bottom hole and it should come out of either the turbo pipe or the other hole in the engine block. either way there will be plenty of soot in there.

after reassembly take the car for a good motorway blast or use only 1st/2nd gear on the way home to make sure everything that was dislodged during the cleaning process is blown out or burnt up.

i can't make notes on the picture because stuff in that engine bay is different to my car and i wouldn't want to direct you to the wrong place as i'm not a mechanic. for example the brake fluid reservoir is on the opposite site in my car's engine bay
