Interesting reading, but blatantly obvious to most regular forum/newsgroup users.

To a certain extent I think I try and be a little more polite than in "real life" as I've found it's VERY easy to cause offence on the net.

Seeing as this is a car forum it could be worth suggesting it's similar to the way we behave in our cars.

Same sort of thing, people feel safe inside thier little tin cans and as such think there are no reprisals for offensive or even dangerous behaviour. The most that an agressive or dangerous driver expects is perhaps a toot of the horn from an annoyed driver.

Although you may be right, i have found in recent times that a lot of people get an ALTER-EGO when put behind the wheel of a car, especially if its somehting better than what they are used to driving.

eg. take the everyday person driving a small under powered car to work (no names.........VW Polo) and put them behing the wheel of a fully kitted MKIV Supra.....out comes then ALTER-EGO......same on the net.......put somebody on a forum where they think they know what they are talking about and you and tell straight away.......just my two peneth....

oh yes

i too have bit my tongue on many an occasion nowadays!

must admit thought when playing an online game with a blatant hacker, i regularly send insults blazing!

but they go unnoticed cos the hacker knows that they themselves are scum, and your comments will have no impact on them! makes me feel better though

like roadrage without the danger.
