Vsc Check Symbol Flash On Turning The Key

Hi.

I am new to this forum. Joined in after having bought a 2008 Toyota Aygo automatic with VSC (stability control/ESP) from the dealer here in Sweden. I notice that when I turn the key to the point,just before ignition, it shows all sorts of control lights but not VSC check. According to the user manual the VSC symbol/letter should light up briefly before it disappears. No other "check alarms" are activated and the car drives well other wise. Could some one who has a VSC in his/her Aygo confirm if the VSC symbol/letter does light up before disappearing when you turn the key to acc, please? Thanks in advance.

Hej! Yes I can confirm, VSC letters will light up when turning ignition with the rest of the lights and than it will go down. When turning on very slippery road and VSC is activated VSC light flashes and there is also a "beeb" sound than.

Could it be that your car does not contain VSC for some reason? I got my Aygo automatic 2009 January with VSC as extra in Finland.

OK, I checked it again and it does flash VSC briefly on the right lower hand of the screen, so I have got it. I was looking at the round screen in front and the spokes of the steering wheel was hiding the the second rectangular smaller screen to the right! All Aygos sold in Sweden after 2007 have (must have) VSC. Toyota received a massive critic from motor journalists here during 2007 car test for supplying Aygo without this safety feature.
