Rav 4 For Daughter

Hi. my daughter picks up her Rav 4 diesel next week, it's on a 02 plate with 60000 miles on the clock it's just had a new clutch and fly wheel fitted not because there was any thing wrong the present owner just thought it needed it because of the millage, it's also got full main dealer service history.

He even had new snow tyres fitted 6 weeks ago in case it snowed but now his new car is ready 4 weeks early, what I would like to know from you guys and girls is there any thing we should know to keep the car in top condition and running smoothly.

I think she has got a good deal with this car and I know they are supposed to be bullet proof but any advice is allways welcome.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Hi,

Although mine is a petrol model it sounds as if it comes from a careful previous owner who did the right things by his wheels so,all things being equal, your daughter should have a gud un.

Can we now expect a new member on this forum? If so I know she will be very welcome.

That's one of the best bits of preventative maintenance i've ever seen, star buy me thinks :thumbsup:

A dmf change as routine maintanence, the seller must have covered everything else. Sounds like a good buy. The dmf if the main problem the diesels.

Thanks, it does sound like a decent buy, she hasn't talked about any thing else for the past week and she can't wait to get shut of her old Ford KA even thought it's been a decent car and saved me a load of money in insurance.

Sounds like a good car to me as well  Proper Mr T Service history  Only thing that MAYBEcoming up soon is Suction control Valves but not a huge expense about £275, but it may never need them, Other than that and regular sevicing, you can take it to the moon + back without worries  and if we do get snow, your daughters gonna have a huge grin on her face, They are a LOT more capable than people think, (used by Derbyshire police) in their day, Good Luck and a huge welcome, Should you need any help you will get it here  Stew

Hmmmm! the first time my daughter drove mine she managed to hook the front wing around a wooden post delineating a parking bay. When I gave her my brothers XT5 ( identical to mine ) I suggested that I might swop the damaged wing over as it is bolted on. I think her reply was one of the reasons I've just had a knee replacement..................

What is it about the father / daughter relationship?
