Tried the Forum on my Smartphone and instead of having the old mobile-friendly version which was great, now got the full Desktop version (bit tricky on a 2" wide screen )

Good heavens above, Me eyesights gone, I was warned it would be me prostate first, then me memory, then me hearing EH!! but no I,ve come over all monochrome, Whats going on.. Its all changed again ,and seeing as i only have 1.5mb b band at best,its horribly slow...not good.

Actually its marginally faster than dial up :( as i live in the sticks.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.its all going slooooooooooowwwwwly.And i have no way of improving speed where i live.

If you click on the smiley on top line, a range of smileys appear at bottom of page, you can use these, but if you click on show all. you get the full range, but if you click one you encounter the prob i have already described, I cannot get my avatar up, and there no longer appears to be a birthday list...Stew

I have no broadband or PCcapacity issues but nevertheless navigating around this new forum is jerky & slooooooow - compared to the old one.

No doubt it will have one or two bugs to start with & they will get ironed out. But why wasn't there any warning of a change? I remember when MCN revamped their forums a few years back, they eventually lost 75% of the members because of stupid navigation problems. Hope it doesn't happen here..............

Stew, I know where you are coming from.

For me it is not trying to find things so much as the way the forum just plain works (or more like does NOT work) anymore. I am trying to persevere with it but getting more and more irritating.

I think Firemac's potential prediction could sadly come true.

Almost unusable on Android tablet. Had to install different browsers.

There' something like a timer bar/ hourglass running at the top of the screen. There must be browser scripts running in the background which would slow it down.

This is more than just changing to a dark background.

This new format is truly a step backward! It's dark, sluggish, and the page scrolling is horribly slow. PLEASE roll it back to the previous version!!

Dont go giving up Stew !! You will sort it... I'm hopeless with computers but trying to get used to it.....

The page scrolling is very slow though and its hard to see more than one post at a time ??

One things for sure the stark black script on such a bright white background is not easy on the eye....

Sorry but I find the black background on the post page extremely hard on My eyes so if I fail to post as often You will know why.....

Site still crashes a lot as well which can be a pain !!

Yes the page scrolling is very slow for me too,but my script is showing as a very pale grey,which i find very difficult to read.

But there are some features like the log in/out now showing at the top,so i suppose like with all things new it might take some time to settle down,hopefully.

I agree - very difficult to see pale grey script on my monitor. Don't like it!

Ive Sorted the Smiley problem B) -_- <_< :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Stew now is it possible to transfer some of the smileys from the show all page, to the selection that come up under the reply page

This is quite appalling. It's worse today than it was yesterday! Jerky, slow, poor definition - sh*t, it's almost as **** poor as ITV-player!!

It's a Internet Forum FFS, not some high-tech graphics-hungry state of the art Video Game!!

Any Internet chat forum (where people go to converse via the use of WORDS) should not need a quad-processor CPU or the latest version of WIndows, Flash or other such crap.
